Check-up

The preventive medical examination is a benefit provided by Austrian social insurance agencies and is available to all individuals who are at least 18 years of age and reside in Austria.
The preventive medical examination is not just a health check-up; it also offers the opportunity to detect risk factors such as high blood pressure, elevated blood lipids, and diabetes mellitus at an early stage, thereby allowing appropriate measures to be taken before these develop into serious symptoms and diseases.

In many cases, diseases only become noticeable through tangible symptoms once they have reached an advanced stage. Prevention and early treatment are significantly easier and more promising than treating advanced diseases.

For your preventive medical checkup, two appointments will be scheduled with you at the office.

During the first appointment, blood and urine samples will be collected directly at the office on a Monday or Wednesday between 8:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

A follow-up appointment will be scheduled to discuss the results and conduct a physical examination, which consists of several components. These include auscultation of the lungs and heart rhythm, palpation of the neck, thyroid, and lymph nodes, palpation of the abdomen, inspection of the throat, and examination of the spine.
If indicated, an ECG will be scheduled. You will receive a separate appointment for this. The ECG is also performed directly in the office.
For the blood draw, it is necessary that you have an empty stomach.
The Hemoccult test, starting at age 50, is also an important part of the preventive medical checkup. This test is used for the early detection of colorectal cancer or its precursor.
For men, the preventive examination also includes a blood test to measure PSA levels as part of prostate cancer screening.
Once the results are available, I will, of course, take ample time to discuss them with you and answer all your questions in detail.

Immune System Booster

Vitamin C is an important antioxidant that helps protect the body from oxidative stress. Vitamin C is considered an “immunity booster.”
With a vitamin C infusion, high doses of vitamin C are administered directly into the bloodstream. Unlike tablets or powders, which can only be absorbed by the body to a limited extent through the gastrointestinal tract, this method achieves significantly higher effective levels in the blood.
An infusion takes about 30 minutes.
Vitamin C infusions are very well tolerated, and unwanted side effects are extremely rare.

As a complementary medical treatment, this supportive therapy is not covered by health insurance and is therefore considered a private service.

If you are interested in this effective complementary therapy, please schedule an appointment.
I would be happy to advise you.

Price per infusion 70€, Package 5 infusions 300€.

ECG – Electrocardiogram

An electrocardiogram (ECG) provides a wide range of information about the heart’s characteristics and health.
The test is painless for the patient, takes only a few minutes, and is highly informative.

An ECG is a diagnostic method that measures the heart’s electrical activity, or its cardiac cycle.

It provides information on heart rate, heart rhythm, electrical conduction patterns, atrial activity, premature beats, the presence of a bundle branch block, the presence of an acute or past heart attack, myocardial hypertrophy, and right- and left-sided strain on the heart.

Before the test, we will have a comprehensive medical history discussion during which you will describe your symptoms to me.
Some medications can affect heart activity, so it is important that you tell me which medications you are taking during the medical history interview.

After evaluating the ECG, I will discuss the results of the examination with you in detail. If further evaluation by a specialist is necessary, I will refer you to the appropriate specialist.

Indications that require an ECG include:

  • chest symptoms (e.g., retrosternal pain, pressure, or a stabbing sensation in the chest)
  • cardiac arrhythmias
  • unexplained syncope
  • coronary artery disease
  • myocardial infarction
  • acute coronary syndrome

Cupping | Cupping therapy

Cupping (Latin: ventosatio) is a traditional therapeutic method in which small cups are applied to specific areas of the skin using negative pressure. Cupping is primarily performed on the back, as this is where the reflex zones connected to individual organs in the body are located.

Cupping is a detoxifying procedure that allows for direct treatment of so-called “sludge”—that is, disturbances in the reflex points or areas—and stimulates the body’s self-regulation.

Cupping has pain-relieving and regulating effects, strengthens the immune system, and accelerates the healing process.

I offer this treatment method as a private service in my practice.

I am happy to answer any further questions you may have about cupping.

Chiropraktik

Chiropractic is used to treat, among other things

  • acute pain in the musculoskeletal system

Chirotherapie

Chiropractic

Chiropractic uses specific manual techniques to treat problems with the musculoskeletal system. It aims to restore the natural mobility of the joints and release blockages through manipulation and mobilization.

What happens during a chiropractic session:

During the treatment, controlled and targeted manual techniques are used to apply pressure to various areas of the spine.
Typically, an audible cracking sound occurs during treatment.
This sound is caused by the stretching of ligaments and tendons; it is not the joint that is cracking.

The overall goal of chiropractic care is to normalize the function and interaction of joints and muscles, thereby alleviating or, ideally, eliminating pain.

I offer this treatment method as a private service at my practice.

You are welcome to schedule an appointment.

Shockwave therapy

Shockwave therapy is a modern and effective treatment method for musculoskeletal pain. Targeted, high-energy sound waves stimulate healing processes in the tissue, improve blood circulation, and reduce inflammation.

The treatment is gentle, usually does not require medication, and can significantly relieve pain and improve mobility in many cases.

We would be happy to consult with you personally to determine whether this form of therapy is suitable for your condition.

Stosswellentherapie Schulter

Shockwave therapy can provide relief for the following conditions

  • Heel spurs
  • Tennis elbow
  • Shoulder problems
  • Chronic tendonitis
